3 Ways To Celebrate Women’s History Month With Hermis!

Employee challenges in 2020 due to COVID-19

Companies risk losing women in leadership—and future women leaders—and unwinding years of painstaking progress toward gender diversity due to the stress Covid-19 has had.

Women’s History Month in Feb brings a month long opportunity to honor women in the workplace, and reflect on all that has been achieved in the past generations of women leaders. This past year the pandemic  has impacted the workplace in many ways, but the hardest hit by it are women. Losing the support system that enabled women to join the workforce has put a tremendous burden on the advancement of gender equity.

A recent McKinsey report suggests that more than one in four women are contemplating what many would have considered unthinkable just six months ago: downshifting their careers or leaving the workforce completely. Companies risk losing women in leadership—and future women leaders—and unwinding years of painstaking progress toward gender diversity due to the stress Covid-19 has had.

As we see more and more of these studies coming out and the glaring threat of the decline of women, and gender equality in the workplace, it has become imperative for us to incorporate practices to honor the women we work with.
